The way a poem looks can be as meaningful as how it sounds. Visual poetry brings together words, images, and design to create intriguing literary works equally at home in the pages of a book or on the walls of a gallery. Writer Nicholas Laughlin leads this highly interactive, hands-on studio session, taking inspiration from classic and contemporary works of visual and concrete poetry. Come prepared to experiment with visual manifestations of an existing text, or make something entirely new in collaboration with others!
